THE Grand National is one of the most competitive races of the season each year, so it comes as no surprise that not many favourites triumph. However it was fitting back in 2010 when the Jonjo O’Neill trained horse Don’t Push It provided Tony McCoy with his one and only victory in the race as the 10/1 favourite. This also provided leading owner JP McManus with another victory in the race.
The now Sir Tony McCoy was a fitting winner as he has proved himself to be the greatest Jockey in the history of the sport. He rode an incredible 4,358 winners throughout his career and was awarded Champion Jockey a record 20 consecutive times which is every year he was a professional. Following this victory he had achieved everything in the sport.
The 2018 edition of the race is set to be as competitive as ever. All the latest Grand National 2018 bets have been on the favourite Blaklion who is now 12/1 with Betfair. This is following a comprehensive victory over the national fences in the Beecher chase. Check out the infographic below to find out all you need to know about the Grand National festival.
