Dark horses: Joyeuse the leading lady

joyeuseTODAY’S focus is on the fairer sex. JOYEUSE should collect in the Dick Poole Stakes at Salisbury. But a couple of more unexposed fillies also catch the eye. WEDDING WISH showed plenty on her racecourse debut at Newmarket and she could offer a bit of value in the 2.40. A £130,000 yearling by that prolific sire of juvenile winners Acclamation, she should run a big race under Tom Queally. Note PERSIAN BOLT in the market: she is highly regarded by connections.

STYBBA is well bred and related to several winners, including Lay Time (half sister) and Jira (sister). The Qatar Racing filly also has a Group One entry and should go very close on her debut in the 3.15 if she has such high-flying aspirations
