UPDATE: RIDEONASTAR HAS BEEN DECLARED A NON RUNNER. THOSE who saw RIDEONASTAR (5.10 Haydock) run at Salisbury last week will have noted how unlucky he was. The gelding lost several lengths at the flag start after pretty much whipping round and it was a minor miracle that he was in contention two furlongs out after making up the ground. He eventually finished seven lengths behind the winner and he must have lost at least double that at the start. Today he runs over 1m 6f off the same mark: in fact the useful Jenny Powell claims an extra 5lb. He should go very well. The other main selection is…
…MO HENRY (3.10 Haydock). He has dropped to his lowest mark and has been slowly improving this season. Today could be his day.
Elsewhere today, GLAD TIDINGS (4.10) has looked a progressive type for David O’Meara and has been given a rating of 79 on his first foray in a handicap. He has Pyjama Party to beat but gets a useful 5lb.
ZAHENDA (4.20) is no world beater but looks ready to be competitive and she goes in a fairly ordinary affair at Brighton while SHADOW GAME (1.30) should win at Wolverhampton.
Elm Park’s half brother BROROCCO (6.50) makes his debut at Sandown. In time, he is expected to be a nice horse and although he may need the run today he is well worth a watching brief.
Tom Dascombe does well with his juveniles at Haydock and SWANSWAY is worth a watching brief in the 2.40 while at Leopardstown STAR OF KINGS (5.45), a daughter of Sea The Stars, is expected to step up on her promising debut in what is a warm maiden.
