About

Welcome to my horse racing blog. First up, I’m not after your money (unless, of course, you are a Bentley-driving bookie). This isn’t another of those tipping sites that asks for cash in return for horse racing tips.

This, quite simply, is a labour of love.

My aim is to provide a heady mix of free horse racing content including interviews, features, horses to follow, previews and reviews.

I’ve been a journalist for more than 30 years – 11 years as a hard news reporter for regional newspapers. I fulfilled a lifelong ambition by working in racing full time by becoming Racing Editor of the Daily Star Sunday and Sunday Express in 2011.

My current role is for Reach PLC where I’m Racing Editor of its national titles – the Daily Mirror, Daily Star and Daily Express – and their associated Sunday papers. I am also the Chief Tipster on the Daily Star – well someone has got to do it! I represent the Daily Star in the Racing Post Naps table– you can see the updated standings by clicking here

I’ve also previously worked as a web producer, news editor, news production journalist for national newspapers but the sport of kings has always been my biggest passion.

Any feedback or ideas to improve the site would be marvellous.
